Named after Jennie's inspirational, hardworking grandmothers - Edna Laura Land, an English maid; & Alice May Chapman, an Australian seamstress, their names were begging to be a 'vintage label'. Like Edna & Alice born a century ago, Jennie lives a parrallel life to her grandmothers: a soldier's wife, keeping house, raising children & sewing into the night. While studying Science & Arts at University, Jennie started sewing & designing as a creative outlet, finding a passion for patchwork in 1999 after the birth of her first daughter. Posie Patchwork was developed when she chose to 'stay home' after the birth of twins in 2001. With 3 little girls under the age of 3, her alter ego Posie took over, turning a hobby into the perfect business to work around the children. Posie then had dreams of producing a special range of products suitable for wholesale, & now with her four children (a son finally came along in 2004) all at school, it was the right time to launch this business.

Each product is an original creation, however, you are welcome to custom design a product, exclusive to your store even. The fabrics are carefully selected from top designer collections around the world, in classic colours your customers will adore. Like Posie says "if you love something, it's always in style". Every piece is handmade in the Canberra Posie studio. You'll also find the label in many magazine titles including Shop 4 Kids, Total Girl, Frankie, Cosmopolitan, Shop Til You Drop, Australian Parents & more, plus lots of fun web presense too. 2009 has seen new products, more fabrics & additional stores, plus a featured craft project in the super popular Meet Me At Mike's book.
